The starting numbers are examples, not benchmarks. Replace them with yours. The result is an estimate from what you enter, not a forecast.
How it's calculated
- Cost per treatment = product + supplies + (staff hours × cost per hour).
- Margin per treatment = price − cost per treatment.
- Break-even = monthly fixed costs ÷ margin per treatment, rounded up to a whole treatment.
- Monthly profit = margin per treatment × expected treatments − monthly fixed costs.
What people leave out
- Consult time. Not every consult becomes a treatment, so the time spent on the ones that don't belongs in your cost.
- Wasted product. Expired or damaged units count, especially for products with short shelf lives.
- Payment processing. Card fees and financing fees come out of the price.
- Marketing. Whatever you spend to fill the schedule is a fixed cost of the service.
